Since the beginning of 1950 Scanaviation´s JAR 145 approved workshops have undertaken overhaul and repair of aircraft and aircraft components. Scanaviation has performed overhaul of more than 5000 engines and an even higher amount of propellers, landing gears and components. Overhauling such an amount of different components has given the company a highly experienced team of technicians and servicestaff.

Dansk Fly Elektronik (= ¿Danish Avionics¿), abbreviated DFE, was established by Søren K. Jakobsen in 1986. Before that Søren had taken an aprenticeship as a radio mechanic at Avia from 1963 though 1967, and worked as a technician at the company until 1974. After that he continued as manager at the department in Roskilde. For a time, however, he had had the wish to establish his own business. So he did. April 1st 1986 he established a company, and in 1987 he bought a hangar (Hangarvej G11) in Roskilde Airport ¿ the hangar that is still the home of DFE. Since then the company has served many customers avionic wise.
